In conjunction with the Thai Rubber Association (TRA) Annual Dinner that was held on 11 May 2018, the ASEAN Rubber Business Council (ARBC) had organized the 21st meeting of the Technical Committee on Contract Matters (TCCM) at Centara Grand, Central World, Bangkok, Thailand on 12th May 2018.
MRE which is a Unit under Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) is a permanent secretariat for ARBC since 2005. MRE actively cooperates with regional and international organizations related to the rubber trade, aimed mainly at identifying core problems and taking remedial steps to resolving them.
The meeting was hosted by TRA and attended by representatives from association members of ARBC such as Rubber Association of Indonesia (GAPKINDO), Malaysian Rubber Exchange (MRE)/Federation of the Rubber Trade Associations of Malaysia (FRTAM), Rubber Trade Association of Singapore (RTAS), The Association for Rubber Development of Cambodia (ARDC) and Vietnam Rubber Association (VRA).
The meeting helped provide a platform for members to discuss and share information of mutual interest and concern, especially those pertaining to international trade matters. The main agenda of the meeting is to discuss on the draft of International Rubber Association (IRA) contract for Preserved Rubber Latex in Tank Containers (Hevea Brasiliensis).
