The Federal Government has allocated RM67.62 million under the Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (Risda) for the 2025 Monsoon Season Aid (BMT) in Sabah, benefiting 84,534 smallholders and tappers.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the assistance showed that smallholders in Sabah were not being overlooked, especially as many faced reduced incomes and the impact of recent floods.
He said of the total recipients, 3,746 were under Risda while 80,788 were listed under the Sabah Rubber Industry Board (LIGS).
Each recipient will receive RM800, distributed in four instalments starting November 2025, Zahid announced during the launch of the Risda Madani (Prisma) Sabah 2025 programme here.
The event, attended by around 20,000 people, also saw Risda provide RM73,000 in CSR funds through its foundation to 600 flood and landslide victims.
