Public Investment Bank Bhd (PublicInvest) does not expect the recent World Health Organisation (WHO)-reported hantavirus developments to materially change global glove demand dynamics at this stage.
In its latest note, the research house said average selling prices (ASPs) for generic gloves have risen sharply to about US$29 per 1,000 pieces, compared with roughly US$16 per 1,000 pieces a year earlier and around US$14 per 1,000 pieces on a quarter-on-quarter basis.
