Thailand’s customs-cleared exports (THCEX=ECI) registered a 10.2% year-on-year increase in April, surpassing analysts’ predictions, according to the commerce ministry’s statement on Monday.
Analysts had previously forecasted a 9.1% rise for the month.
The April figures show continued growth from March, which recorded a significant 17.8% increase in exports.
The consistent rise in exports indicates a strong performance for Thailand’s trade sector.
The commerce ministry’s data shows a positive trend in the country’s export activities, outperforming market expectations.
